9 Websites with Great Freebies for Business Owners

Check out these websites:

At eFax you can get your own fax number and your faxes will be sent directly to your email in-box... you don't even need a fax machine!

This is one of the best sites to submit and/or find great articles! Market yourself with your own article or search for articles written about a multitude of business (and other) topics.

3.  www.TinyURL.com

Have you ever wanted to send someone a link... but the URL was VERY long?  TinyURL allows you to create a shorter version of your URL for FREE!  For example it can shorten this 75 character URL:

http://www.creativebusinessworkshops.com/articles/edit_article/4253346/85956.htm

to this shorter version:  http://tinyurl.com/2vms9z

4.  www.Thesaurus.com

When you are searching for a word to use, just go to thesaurus.com and type in a word to get up to hundreds of other words that might work.  This is a great tool to use when writing marketing material or a mission statement!  The same sight also has a dictionary and encyclopedia.

5.  www.USPTO.com

Want to find out if your business or product name is already trademarked?  You can do a search on this site and get a good idea of what is out there.  It isn't conclusive, but it is a great beginning before you hire someone to research it for you.

 6.  www.StatCounter.com

If you have a website and want to track how many hits your site gets, which pages are the most popular, how many return visits you get, etc., Statcounter.com offers a free version and it is very simple and easy to use.

7.  www.Elance.com

This is a great site to find various business services at great prices.  You can request a service professional to do a specific project for you at a certain price OR you can bid on other projects.  So, if you offer business services you might pick up some clients on this site.

8.  www.Wikepedia.com

This is better than an encyclopedia... if you want to know more about anything... and I mean anything you can find  it on Wikepedia.  I needed to find out the name of the actress who played the "Pat" character on Saturday Night Live - and I found it in seconds on Wikepedia.

9.  www.SurveyMonkey.com

When you want to survey your clients or prospects on-line... try Survey Monkey.  They offer a simple version for FREE - so why not try it out?

Enjoy these websites - they each have something for FREE... and who doesn't love that?
